ABOUT M.E.
Hello, lovely soul! Welcome to my site! I'm Maya Elizabeth--a singer-songwriter, performing/recording artist, and worship leader. I believe we were made to live full, not empty. So, I write thought-provoking, inspirational-soul music for the listener who needs to feel seen and loved.
I was born in L.A. and raised in Baltimore, MD, where I first started songwriting around age 6. Lyrics, poetry and journaling have always been tools for me to process, create, and connect with my sense of purpose. Recording, performing and worship leading are primarily how I express my gifts.
I'm also a proud Howard University School of Business (Marketing) alumnae, a DC Chapter Recording Academy voting member, and the co-creator of a concert series called “From M.E. to You: A Mental Health Concert.” My music resonates heavily with those growing their self-esteem, seeking purpose and looking for positive, soulful vibes. I use my unique voice to spread healing.truth.+love.
